The Start of Season 2

today was the start of the casting of season 2. The first three epsoides included Life On The Hill, UB Straight Trippin’, and Dorm After Dark. Each epsoide shows off the summer experience and the activities that took place during 09-10 year. So you have to yet to the premire to see how it turns out.

Well today was pretty exciting… SIKE! It wasn’t really anything to do today. We went on like this Agriculture field trip and, it was so hot and boring. Well I know that it isn’t the nicest thing to say but I’m telling you personally it wasn’t my cup of tea. I mean it wasn’t bad but I wasn’t interested. Well we rode a broke down charter bus that kept cutting off. It wasn’t funny but then it wasn’t really all that funny. Well one of the girls in the dorm birthday is today and she is turning 18 years old so, you know that I made her a promise to give her a shout out so KAYLA HAVE A HAPPY 18^TH BIRTHDAY, PARTY HARD! Oh yea well our head lady over the whole thing was interviewing people to go to the ESSENCE FESTIVAL in New Orleans and one boy ran out crying and I guess he made it and it was pretty good. Well make sure that you tune in tomorrow with the updates! WE GOING TO THE BEACH!!! See you tomorrow!

UB meets College Hill Star

OMG!!!!! Guess who came in the Upward Bound Journalism building Kyle Washington for Season Six of Collage Hill. After we settled down he told us about the process of entering Collage Hill. A friend of his told him to watch season five . While he was on the net they had a link that told people that they are casting for season six. So then he click the link and filled out the paper work. He said that it took him three days to fill out eight pages because his friends was telling him what to put on the paper. After he sent in his application in two weeks later he got a call saying that they would like to interview him in Miami Florida . When he got there he sat in a room for four long hours. A month later they called him back to have a camera interview. Then people all around the world came in a group of ten. In his group he said that they picked three people out of that group and he was the three one. After that they got right to filming. The first fight that went on was the one between Terri and Milan . Kyle said that the only reason he think that they got into a fight was to see who got the most camera. A few weeks later they got a new cast at the name of Katherine who already knew Brandon . So Kyle and Chris made a bet to be mean to the new girl for a new pair of shoes. When that happen Katherine got back at him by eating his ribs. Which I got to say it was funny to funny. Collage Hill do pay the cast $ 700.00 a week for groceries and extra money just to spend. The season was taped from September to October. The upcoming things that Kyle is doing is going on tour with Rock-a-fella as a MC. He is also is going to the BET Awards in two weeks. The Teenage Student Life

The life of a student at a high school level is tough, but programs like Upward Bound at Famu relieves the stress of the students and allows the students to open up. The students meet new people everyday and this program grows another family all on it’s own. The students are upgraded in confidence during the track of this program and they soon come to understand the importance of college.
